Synopsis (Goodreads):
Sailor Bishop has only one goal for his future – to create a successful landscaping business. No distractions allowed. Then he comes face-to-face and lips-to-lips with a woman who blushes like an innocent… and kisses like pure sin.

Ísa Rain craves a man who will cherish her, aches to create a loving family of her own. Trading steamy kisses with a hot gardener in a parking lot? Not the way to true love. Then a deal with the devil (aka her CEO-mother) makes Ísa a corporate VP for the summer. Her main task? Working closely with a certain hot gardener.

And Sailor Bishop has wickedness on his mind.

As Ísa starts to fall for a man who makes her want to throttle and pounce on him at the same time, she knows she has to choose – play it safe and steady, or risk all her dreams and hope Sailor doesn’t destroy her heart.
Thoughts on Cherish Hard: If you're looking for something sweet and sexy with a ridiculously romantic gardener and a woman with plenty of familial issues, this book is for you. Sailor is seriously sweet and focused--a good thing when all that focus is directed at Ísa, but not so great when his focus gets in the way of living his life--and I LOOOOOVED seeing him find his HEA.

(For the record, if you haven't read Gabriel's book yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. Where Sailor's sweet, Gabe is crazy intense. It's GLORIOUS!)

As for Ísa, she has a lifetime of being ignored by the people who should have cared for her the most and she's determined to make sure her younger siblings (full and otherwise) never feel the emotional neglect she felt as a child. Her mother's underhanded way of getting her to work for her was rough to read. Ísa concerns for her family trump her concerns for herself any day of the week. She'll gladly give up a piece of herself if it means making sure they have a chance to shine.

I completely appreciate that, it was her mom's cutthroat use of business tactics when it came to getting what she wanted that gave me a sour lemon face. Good thing Ísa had Sailor to show her what it meant to be the center of someone's affection. With a mom like Jacqueline Rain, it's amazing Ísa grew up as well-adjusted as she did.

I love love love the Bishop-Esera clan and I have since we were first introduced to them in Gabe's book (seriously, read it. SO GOOD!). We have two more brothers to go and I'm ALL IN!

  1. I really need to get on Singh's contemporary. I haven't read any of the Rock Kiss yet. I feel like a bad fan girl!
